Enhancing the existing student-developed website for posters and local events, this project aims to integrate it seamlessly with Jesmond Library and JCF websites for wider accessibility. Managed jointly by these organizations, the platform will empower various entities to upload their publicity materials directly, subject to final approval. Users will be able to browse through the posters, with features enabling searching, filtering, and automatic removal of outdated content.

Key functionalities to be incorporated include the ability to include recurring event schedules, a case-insensitive event search, informative tooltips for data entry, and customizable search keywords. Integration with Google Maps will facilitate location-based event searches. Additionally, a comprehensive user guide for website programming files will empower clients to maintain and further develop the platform independently.

The project also includes features like a "create a poster" option for users, automated email notifications upon poster approval or decline, and a search-by-date feature. Improvements to the welcome page's aesthetics and a "display all events" feature will enhance user experience. Further enhancements will be driven by market research, ensuring the platform remains user-friendly and cost-effective to maintain.

Consideration will also be given to long-term maintenance strategies and hosting requirements, with a focus on affordability and sustainability. Upon completion, all project files and documentation will be handed over to the client, facilitating seamless transition and future development.
